Ways to Access Microsoft Teams
Teams can be accessed via a desktop app, online web version and mobile app, we recommend using the desktop app.
To access and sign into Microsoft Teams you will need to use your college Microsoft account details, which is your college email address and password. There are a number of ways you can access Teams:
Using the desktop application (Teams for work or school)
Installing the desktop version of Microsoft Teams will give you full access to all the features available and will make sure you are not excluded from any activities or resources in any team or any lessons being run by your teacher. You can download the Teams app from the Microsoft 365 portal or by selecting the button below.
Using the online version or app on a mobile device
Using a web browser either navigate to Microsoft 365 where you can access Teams and other Microsoft apps, go directly to the Teams website or select the button below.
Download the Teams app from your phone/tablet app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store) or via the Microsoft website.

What is Microsoft Teams?
Microsoft Teams is a communication and collaboration app that’s used for online lessons. You will also be able to contact your teacher and access shared files and activities.

What is the different between Teams Online and Teams Desktop?
The online version of Teams is viewed on a web browser and does not have all of the features the desktop app version does.
Can I use Teams on my tablet or smartphone app?
Yes. You can download the app for either the IOS or Android app store which will enable you to access your class teams as normal. You may find it more difficult to interact and complete work using this version of Microsoft Teams, so we recommend you use the Desktop App instead, where you can be sure all of the features will be available for you to use.
How do I log in to Microsoft Teams?
Open either the Teams desktop app, online version, or tablet/smartphone version, then sign in using your Loughborough College email and password.
I can't log in.
If you can’t log in to Microsoft Teams, the most likely issue is that your username and/or password is incorrect. Your username will be your email address (e.g. 123456@student.loucoll.ac.uk) and your password will be your normal password. If you have forgotten your password, go to your.loucoll.ac.uk to reset it.
I can't see my team / class.
The most likely cause of this problem is that you have not been added to the class team by your teacher. Contact them for help and ask to be added to the Team.
Teams Online is not loading in my browser
You may encounter issues with Microsoft Teams online not loading properly. You may need to check that your cookies are enabled. If it still continues not to work it may be that your browser is not supported.
We would recommend that you use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge to access the online version of Microsoft Teams.
