Miscarriages
A miscarriage is the loss of a pregnancy during the first 23 weeks.
If you experience vaginal bleeding and are concerned about miscarriage, speak to your midwife or GP.
A miscarriage can be an emotionally and physically draining experience.
Emotional impact:
Sometimes the emotional impact is felt immediately after the miscarriage, whereas in other cases it can take longer. Many people affected by a miscarriage go through a bereavement period. If you are experiencing problems with grief, you might want to consider counselling or support groups.
